We were buying new dishwashers every 3 years. Their contractor grade (even the high end stuff) is still crap. I swore never to buy anything GE. Unfortunately we didn't exactly have a choice as they said you couldn't NOT choose appliances. Which I find strange since you can buy a re-sale house with no appliances. As soon as this stuff dies (I hope to get three years, but not holding my breath) I will be happy buy something that will last a lot longer.<br /><br />Oh - and we have already had an issues with the dishwasher not always opening the detergent door. It was at our 10 month inspection.
