Bedroom Blues

Dear blogger friends:

Please send me ambition and creativity.  We are halfway through FINALLY painting the master bedroom and I have just completely run out of steam.  Its like, the further I get, the longer the wall is... The only thing keeping me going is knowing that I can sit down with a beer, upload some pictures and show you all what we've done.

  1. If you're halfway through the painting, then you've reached the "glass half empty/full" point. Think of it like going over a hill. You've walked up it to the top, and now you've got to go down the other side. Downhill is easier, right?

  2. I hate painting! It always seems like a good idea at first. I quickly regret it once I get started! I HAVE to hire someone go paint our new house. It's too big and would take FOREVER!

  3. Just think how beautiful it will look when its all completed and then you can relax and enjoy one less room you have to worry about painting!! Plus its the master bedroom....I'd just lay down afterwards and take a rest enjoying all the hard work you just did!!

  4. Downhill, my ass simon! A&J, there was no laying on the bed, since it was in the middle of the room, piled high with blinds, painting debris and crap we picked up off the floor. CMM, I am DEFINITELY hiring someone to do the main room and the staircase -- its just too much for me. But the bedroom is done!! Pictures to follow, when the room is totally put back together.
